The title page of the manuscript reads: «Sonata I a Due Flauti o Violini č Violoncello. Composta dall Sig.e Abel». Despite this indication, the second part descends below D3 and reaches G2; hence only a violin can play it.
The PDF and MIDI files contain both the transcription of the original score for flute (violin), violin and cello and an adaptation for treble recorder and harpsichord concertato.
